PUYaari was built to unite university students across Punjabi University Patiala and Panjab University Chandigarh. College life is full of memories, banter, debates, and late-night talks, but it thrives only when grounded in mutual respect and safety. Whether sharing campus stories, hunting for roommates, confessing a crush, or debating in Chugli Rooms, you agree to treat fellow batchmates with dignity.
2. Golden Rules of Campus Conduct
- Respect Personal Boundaries: No student should ever feel threatened, intimidated, or stalked. Direct messages must remain courteous. Unwanted persistence after a user declines interaction is considered harassment.
- Zero Tolerance for Bullying & Ragging: Cyberbullying, personal attacks, casteist remarks, sexist language, religious intolerance, and ragging-related threats are strictly banned. Violators face immediate permanent expulsion from the platform and potential reporting to university authorities.
- No Doxxing or Private Information Leaks: Never post personal phone numbers, hostel room numbers, private social accounts, WhatsApp chats, or residential addresses without explicit written consent.
- Authentic Student Identity: Verification credentials must be genuine. Forging roll numbers, student ID cards, or impersonating university faculty or batchmates will result in an irreversible ban.
3. Chugli Rooms & Panga Battle Etiquette
Our Chugli Rooms and Panga Battles are designed for healthy campus debates (Hostel vs PG, Canteen Chai vs Tapri Chai, department banter, VC wishlist ideas):
- Keep debates centered on ideas, campus humor, and university topics—never launch vicious personal attacks against individual students.
- Anonymous posting (Campus Ghost) is a privilege granted for constructive expression, not a shield for defamation or malice. Our security logs encrypt author IDs to protect students from doxxing, but super admins will decrypt records when required by law enforcement or safety inquiries.
4. Room & Roommate Listing Standards
- Honest Details: Photos, pricing, amenities, and location landmarks must be 100% accurate. Do not post misleading photos or bait-and-switch rental amounts.
- Zero Brokerage Guarantee: PUYaari is strictly for students and verified property owners. Commercial real estate brokers attempting to charge students brokerage fees will have their accounts terminated.
- Safe Meetups: When inspecting rooms or meeting prospective roommates, always meet during daylight hours and preferably bring a classmate along.
5. Reporting & Fast-Track Moderation
If you observe content, messages, or listings that violate these standards:
- Use the in-app Report button on any post, comment, message, or room listing.
- Use the Block feature to instantly hide content and prevent further messages from any user.
- Email our Grievance Officer directly at grievance@puyaari.com with screenshots for expedited review within 12 hours.
6. Consequences of Violations
Violations of these guidelines are taken seriously and may result in warning strikes, temporary chat mutes, suspension of roommate listing privileges, or permanent account bans. Severe violations involving legal infractions or harassment will be reported to appropriate campus and law enforcement authorities.
